Original (available) – Remnants Style oil painting
This painting is released for the first time at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts in January 2023. Inspired by the “Be Our Guest” song in Beauty and the Beast movie. Dancin’ Time (Cogsworth) is meant to go along with the “Be Our Guest” (Lumière) painting. A third one will eventually be done with Chip and Mrs. Potts.
This was my most challenging painting so far. I know, it’s been only 3 years since I started to paint… Soooo in my young experience, it was difficult for me to paint all of that action with a razor blade. It is a good thing I have my coach/teacher with me all the time. I remember saying to Greg at the beginning of this painting: “Oh I am so pleased. It is the first painting I am not scrapping and redoing the work!” I shouldn’t have said that… I scrapped and restarted, over and over and over again. However, I persevered and was pleased with the end results and ready to release it.

Remnants style:
Greg taught me the technique. He created the style tired of throwing away the left over paint from his Disney painting whenever he was cleaning his palette. The idea of abstract painting with left over paint came as a good way of recycling it. Initially the Remnants were mainly used for abstract painting. Then it developed into a way of painting Disney characters as well.
